Kyorin University Hospital, the only university hospital located in the Tama District of greater Tokyo, is the largest medical center west of Shinjuku.

The Hospital boasts the newly-built Outpatient Clinic building which is "base-isolated" (immune to earthquakes), the first of this type of university hospital in Japan.Glassed-in waiting rooms are spacious and command a view of the surrounding neighborhood.

Clinic Divisions are set-up based on systems such Respiratory System and Circulatory System, so that patients can easily know which outpatients clinic to go to. The Eye Center in the Clinic building is the largest general ophthalmology facility in the nation.This University Hospital is fully equipped with the most advanced technology and equipment.Measurement of intracranial pressure with the totally-embedded ICP sensor (Department of Neurosurgery) and various types of laser surgery for spine and joint diseases (Department of Orthopedic Surgery) are among the highly advanced medical treatments available at the Hospital.

The Hospital has 1,162 beds, which are efficiently used in cooperation with each clinical department.

Kyorin University Hospital provides medical services to the community as well as serve as an institution for clinical education and research.

 Advanced Emergency and Resuscitation Center

This center, equipped with the most up-to-date medical facilities and equipment, admits critical patients 24-hours a day from the entire western Tokyo area.
In addition to emergency care, this center functions as a training facility for medical students, student nurses, and emergency and resuscitation specialists. 

The Center also accepts doctors and paramedics from abroad, contributing to raising the level of critical care in the visitors' countries. Emergency cases in any specialty, including Ophthalmology and Otorhinolaryngology, can be treated at any time. This is one of the leading centers for emergency and resuscitating activities in the world.

Other Centers and Facilities 

Integrated Perinatal Care Center
This center consists of M-FICU and NICU, providing intensive care for mothers, fetuses, and newborns, with the most-advanced equipment and techniques.
Kidney Dialysis Center
This center is the nucleus of dialysis facilities in the Tama District of Tokyo.
Burn Center
Equipped with a Skin Bank, this facility attends to treating severe burns. A  high  level of care attracts burn patients from distant prefectures.
Eye Center
The Eye Center, with 10 specialized clinics and 4 outpatient operating rooms occupies the whole space of one floor of the Outpatient Clinic building. This center is able to provide quick and proper treatment for any eye disease regardless of the patien's age.
General Rehabilitation Facilities

The General Rehabilitation Facility is a leading rehabilitation center in Tokyo accredited by the Ministry of Health and Welfare. Consisting of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy, the Facility is providing outstanding care to the aging society of today.

Intensive Care Unit
Management of respiration, circulation, and metabolism are performed for post-operative patients or in-patients in serious condition.
Extra corporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy
The Urology Department employs this technique for breaking up renal or ureteral stones, and Internal Medicine III Department uses it for gallstones. 
Health Care Center
A comprehensive physical checkup for the early detection of cancer, cardiac or cerebrovascular disorders, and to educate patients on lifestyle related diseases.
