First-Rate Preventive Medical Treatment of the Patient
| Despite advances in medical technology, the objectives of medicine have not
changed since Hippocrates' era. In Japan, medicine has evolved to treat
the patient comprehensively as an individual, with physicians considering the
physical and mental health of the patient. The Medical School faculty and
students are committed to treating patients according to evidence-based
research and clinical practice. We contribute to community health from
primary to tertiary prevention, providing healthcare information to the
regional community while giving due consideration to what it
means to be
healthy. |

Technique of Clinical Medicine - Continuing Medical Education
| Our mission is to educate clinicians to perform with knowledge and
professionalism. To achieve this mission, we offer an educational
system that facilitates the further development of medical professionals
for all medical staff members already working in hospital wards as well as
medical students. After graduating from the six-year program and becoming
licensed, doctors can apply for the two-year residency program in general
medicine and then continue for another three years in a field of their
specialty. Clinicians not affiliated directly with Kyorin University Hospital
may receive continuing medical education. |

Medical Research on New Clinical Techniques and Skills
| Another part of our mission is to facilitate the progress of medicine by
generating new techniques and skills that can be applied to clinical
situations. We are always striving to advance our potential through the
pursuit of the best form of medicine from basic medical science to
clinical
and healthcare services. |
