I don't know whether sufferers would smile to hear it, but a slip of the tongue is often a source of laughter. Of course, it isn't meant to ridicule the speaker. Just like we can sometimes see something different in the flame from what we imagine we know well, a slip of the tongue can disturb our sense of order, what is called common sense, just for a split second.
