Considering the fax, I think it is a very well devised machine for children to use. The pictures and letters on the paper are supposed to be sent to your recipients as they are. By e-mail, you cannot show children’s childish but individual writing and the savor of their drawings at all, and if you try to send them in the same way as the fax you have to scan and attach them to the e-mail, which is too complicated and troublesome to do. Moreover, I think it is another good point of fax that receivers can hold the paper and look at it repeatedly, not at the screen. I have realized again that the basis of the fax that‘when one slots the paper into the machine, the other can receive it from another machine’ is actually amazing, though we are likely to take it for granted. It is also important that the fax can send the material in the same size as the original. For example, when one child sends the outline of his hand he draw on the paper, the other child can compare his hand size with it by putting his next to the paper. Such a natural and important working as this is impossible for any media except the fax. So it is safe to say that the suitable media for children also means it is easy and simple for us grown-up people to use, close to our lives.
