ライティングセンターについて

　杏林ライティングセンター（以下ＫＷＣ）は、全ての学生が利用でき、レポートや小論文、プレゼンテーション資料など文章作成のコツを教えています。
　近年インターネット上では、文字から画像、そして動画へとコンテンツが普及していますが、学業やビジネスの世界では文章を作成する力は、変わらずに求められています。
　ＫＷＣでの指導は主に１対１ですが、時には少人数でグループワークを行うこともあります。ここでは、スタッフが文章を添削して完璧にするのではなく、良い文章を書くための構想、アイデアの整理、段落構成、文法、そして読み手に対して簡潔明瞭に伝える表現方法や語彙力など、上達するためのヒントやテクニックを身に着けてもらうためのアドバイスをしています。完成した文章を持参する必要はありません。 　
　2021年は、新型コロナウィルス感染拡大防止のため、引き続いて対面形式のほか、オンライン形式で開室しており、大学教員や訓練を受けたピア・チューターからフィードバックを受けることができます。

Message from Mr. Ryan McGuire

Anyone at all who is interested in improving their English writing skills is encouraged to visit the Kyorin University Writing Center on the Inokashira Campus. You can find it in Building F in room 207, and it is available on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays this semester. We can help you with anything at all related to English writing skills, such as your assignments, resumes, and test preparation. We can even help you with things like email writing, journaling, or posting on social media in English. It is not necessary to bring a completed piece of writing. At the writing center, you can get help with any stage of the writing process, from brainstorming topic ideas to editing your final drafts. Even if you don’t have something that you are working on, you are welcome to drop in anytime just to practice writing or ask questions about English. We are looking forward to seeing you there and helping you improve your English writing skills!
