高校生対象　英検対策ライティングセミナーを開催

平成30年6月9日（土）高校生向けの英検対策講座がライティングセンターにて行われました。都立高校から高校生2名（他2名は残念ながら欠席でした）がJason Somerville特任講師の指導と杏林大学生のピアチューターのサポートを受けました。
今回は準2級の対策として、実際の試験問題を使用した練習や、どのように解けば良いのか等アドバイスを受けながら問題を解いていきます。
2名とも、自らすすんで問題を解く様子が見て取れました。また勉学だけでなくネイティブ講師や、大学生と交流のもうまれ、真剣さの中にも次節笑顔がこぼれるような程よい環境で講座に臨めていたようでした。

The spring Writing Seminar on EIKEN Writing Pre-2 took place on Saturday, June 9th, 2018. Two students participated in learning how to succeed in the EIKEN Writing test. Three KWC Peer Tutors attended the seminar and assisted the Director (Jason Somerville). The students were welcomed and then introduced to the elements of EIKEN Writing Pre-2. After that the students went on to learn about proper writing structure using an introduction, body and conclusion. The students were introduced to topic sentence, supporting sentences and concluding sentence. The students then went on to practice real questions from the test and were guided and supported by the Peer Tutors. When finished, advice and feedback were given from the Director. By the end of the seminar, the students had a firm grasp of how to write more academically and could gain confidence for passing the writing section of the EIKEN Pre-2. The seminar was wrapped up with some photographs.
